Italy:
I lived in Trieste for three years, and there met a soul-mate, Franco
Trisciuzzi. We played a lot of music together, and in fact met at a music
bar/pizzeria called BBC. I sat in with the house band occasionally.

Jazz!
I have played guitar since secondary school, and after
dabbling with Led Zeppelin and then jazz rock, I moved into more straight
ahead territory. Before I played guitar I played saxophone badly, but it
is still my favourite instrument to hear: it can tell a story like no
other. My favourite player, who seems to me to hold a conversation with
the other players, is Joe Henderson:
Joe Henderson, Ron Carter and Al Foster play "Cheryl" by
Charlie Parker.
